Ray Howard
I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, nowhere near the fashion world, with no path waiting for me. So I built one.
RabbitJax began in 2017 with a $5 sewing machine from the Goodwill on Poplar Avenue in midtown Memphis. My partner at the time, Billy, bought it for me as an investment in me. Somebody believed in the designer before there was ever a brand. That year, in Memphis, the name RabbitJax was born.
I had a big dream, and I was tired of making myself sick trying to fit into a mainstream fashion world that completely overlooked people like me and how I identify. So I stopped trying to fit into it and started making clothes that fit us.
RabbitJax became real at Phoenix Fashion Week in 2022, on the runway after my boot camp cycle. That November I brought a full collection to Denver Fashion Week, and that whole journey is in my documentary, The Road to Denver Fashion Week.

For years I worked as a bodily injury adjuster and designed on the side. I still design every piece myself. Today Howard-Schuyler LLC is home to RabbitJax and to RBRH, a gender-free bridal line.
If you're wearing RabbitJax, you're wearing something made for the people the industry forgot to design for.
